Natural Fibers, Not Plastics
The core of our product line relies on natural materials, such as:
Rattan – A rapidly renewable vine that grows abundantly in Southeast Asia. It regenerates quickly, making it one of the most sustainable resources for furniture and lighting.
Cotton String – 100% biodegradable and non-toxic, our cotton string lamps are crafted using untreated, unbleached cotton.
Water-Based Glue – For our cotton lamps, we use environmentally safe adhesives that do not release harmful fumes or residues.
These choices reduce reliance on synthetic plastics, resins, and chemical coatings that are common in mass-produced lighting.
No Machines, Less Waste
All our lamps are handmade, which means:
No electricity-dependent production lines.
Zero injection molding or fossil-fuel-driven fabrication.
Minimal waste—we use just enough material for each piece and reuse leftover strands whenever possible.
Because we don’t operate like a factory, we produce in small batches and avoid overproduction. This is slow design, made with intention and minimal footprint.
Packaging with Purpose
Every detail counts—including how we ship your lamp. Our packaging uses:
100% recyclable cardboard boxes
Paper-based fillers instead of plastic foam
No individual plastic wraps or coatings
We also avoid vacuum-packing or compressing rattan lamps, which would require plastic materials or deformation. Instead, we ship in their natural form—gentle on the product, gentle on the environment.
Carbon-Conscious Operations
In addition to material choices, we’re continuously improving our supply chain to reduce carbon emissions:
Local sourcing where possible to minimize transport.
Partnering with green-certified couriers for international orders.
Offsetting shipping-related emissions via carbon credits (coming soon).
